About Madison Mobile Solar
Jon Keevil
Owner & Founder
Jon first worked in engineering and then switched to medicine and came to Madison in 1994 for medical training. He was a faculty cardiologist at UW Hospital and Clinics for 16 years and left in 2016 to run a medical software company he founded.
Jon began building mobile energy systems during the pandemic with his daughter in 2020 (that's them above ready for spray foam). They first created "Delilah" a 28 foot Skoolie pictured on the home page with a 750W solar array, a 24V custom-built LiFePO4 battery, a 2,000W inverter, shore power and alternator charging.
His daughter then moved to a lovely 1973 Airstream Argosy which they built out to similar specifications. Both systems have continued to run well and his daughter lives in the Airstream full time.
Because solar power and lithium battery systems in mobile vehicles are complex and sometimes scary, (and because the medical software company was acquired and they did not need the founder any longer) Jon started Madison Mobile Solar in 2023 to help people build safe, reliable and functional systems for mobile use.
ABYC Certified Marine Electrical Advisor
The American Boat and Yacht Council is a highly respected creator of international standards for electrical (and all other) systems on boats which in many cases are more comprehensive than standards for RVs. Jon achieved certification in 2023.
Victron Certified Installer
Jon achieved certification as a Victron installer in 2024.
